On the way in the next two weeks – first consignment of laser cut mATX backplates with 120mm fans. These will sell alongside our more traditional look dual 92mm fan models and are the ideal choice if you want to run a cooling loop in your case. There is easily enough room in our design for you to have you cooling radiator rear mounted AND keep you G5 power supply case where it is – down below.
The 120mm conversion is also great for those tricky late October 2005 G5s and will bolt right into place on the G5 mesh (like all our Laser Hive conversions). Also, it keeps those original PCI-e slots right where they are supposed to be.
And coming soon…..yep. Those full ATX backplates are now on the design table. Of course, these will call for a totally new I/O shield part and this is in the design stage in-house. ETA for the full ATX backplates is looking to around December if design testing goes well.
SO…My question to you. What do you see as the ideal backplate design for ATX. Old skool dual 92s for the original look and feel, a single 120 fan for a compact cooling solution or a full-out dual 120 fan set up sized to fit a 240mm radiator? Let me know. I want to make the products you want to buy!

November 4, 2012 11:54 amhey!
found this site a few days ago.
I’m planning a g5 (ATX) mod and looking for the best backplate solution.
My g5 just arrived but did not survived the shipping. One stand is bended. I’m now trying to fix it.
But I would prefer the single 120mm fan “version”.
Hope to see first examples shortly.

November 5, 2012 11:46 pmSorry to hear your G5 got damaged in shipping – hope the seller gave you money back!
Thanks for letting me know your preference. I think probably the single 120s will be the first ATX versions. I am currently waiting the arrival of the first run of 12 mATX versions with single 120. Once I have done some test fitting and made any changes I will be sending my first full ATX versions to be cut. The delay though is to finalise an I/O shield that makes the best fit for the case.
By the way, if you ever need any parts for a G5 consider asking me, because I have a lot of spares
Thanks for your patience and keep coming by.
